Terms of use

1. Purpose

VendreMonAuto, operated by [À compléter : name or company], is a classified ads platform for vehicles in Switzerland (cars, motorcycles, scooters, vans, buses and trucks). It allows private individuals and dealers to publish listings, and buyers to browse them and contact sellers. Using the site implies acceptance of these terms.

2. Role of the platform

VendreMonAuto is a technical intermediary. The platform is not a party to any sale, does not inspect vehicles and guarantees neither their condition, nor the accuracy of listings, nor the solvency of members. The sales contract is concluded directly between buyer and seller.

3. Account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your password confidential.
  • Professional sellers must identify themselves as such and may provide their UID number to obtain the "Pro verified" badge.
  • You are responsible for all activity carried out from your account.

4. Listing rules

  • A listing must concern a real, available vehicle that you are entitled to sell.
  • Price, mileage, year and condition must be accurate. Photos must show the vehicle for sale.
  • The following are prohibited: misleading or duplicate listings, stolen vehicles, unlawful, offensive or unrelated advertising content, and collecting other members' data.
  • By publishing, you grant VendreMonAuto the right to display your texts and photos free of charge for the duration of the listing.

5. Auctions

A seller may put their vehicle up for auction. They set the starting price, the minimum step, the end date and, if they wish, a (secret) reserve price and a Buy it now price.

  • Every bid is a firm commitment and cannot be withdrawn. Sellers cannot bid on their own listing.
  • Automatic bidding bids on the member's behalf, in minimum steps, up to the maximum they set. This maximum stays secret and can only be raised.
  • A bid placed in the last 2 minutes extends the auction by 2 minutes.
  • After the first bid, the auction terms can no longer be changed and the listing cannot be removed before the end.
  • At the end, if at least one bid was placed and the reserve is met (or there is no reserve), the highest bidder wins; Buy it now ends the auction immediately in the buyer's favour. The seller and the winner are put in touch through messaging and undertake to complete the sale at the price reached. No payment takes place on the site.
  • VendreMonAuto is not a party to the sale and guarantees neither the completion of the transaction nor the bidders' solvency.

6. Messaging and contact

Messaging is only for exchanges about listings. Canvassing, spam and scam attempts are prohibited. Never pay a deposit to a stranger without having seen the vehicle.

7. Reporting and moderation

Any member can report a listing. VendreMonAuto may hide or delete a listing and suspend an account in the event of a breach of these terms or of the law, without notice in serious cases.

8. Pricing

Creating an account, searching for vehicles and contacting sellers is free. Publishing listings is paid, at the prices shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase (final amounts in CHF). Payments are processed by Stripe.

  • Private sellers: each listing is paid once. It goes online from payment confirmation and stays online, with no time limit, until the member removes it or marks it as sold. The price includes a “Featured” placement for the period shown on the pricing page.
  • Dealers: publishing requires a Pro subscription. The number of online listings depends on the chosen plan. The subscription renews automatically every month and can be cancelled at any time from the member area, effective at the end of the paid period; listings and the dealer page are then removed from the site. An account's first subscription may start with a free trial; the payment method is only charged at the end of the trial.
  • Featured listing: one-off payment option, active from payment confirmation for the period purchased.
  • As the services start upon payment, they are not refundable, unless the listing is removed by VendreMonAuto through no fault of the member.
  • VendreMonAuto may change its prices; a new price applies to running subscriptions from their next renewal, after prior notice.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, VendreMonAuto is not liable for listings published by members, for transactions between members, or for temporary service interruptions.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the operator's registered office, subject to mandatory places of jurisdiction provided by law, in particular for consumers.
